About Us

Dr. Hani Shawa Foundation for Community Development works towards the development of the Palestinian society and focuses on helping outstanding students with social needs at Palestinian universities in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The Foundation aims to help our community and provide support to students at universities, who are the basis of a brighter future.

Dr. Hani Shawa Foundation for Community Development was established in 2016. It commenced its operations by supporting needy outstanding students in Palestine and enabling them to complete their university education.

The Foundation is an initiative launched by the family of late Dr. Hani Shawa, the former Chairman of Bank of Palestine, as a commemoration of his life. Dr. Hani was an economic dignitary who contributed to establishing the largest Palestinian banking institution; currently considered one of the best banking institutions in the Middle East.
